I'll have to try one of those, I'm not normally one to keep any kind of a journal well. Know of any decent places to do that kind of thing online?
Grob is Healthy!

There are tons of them! I suppose there are several free ones as well. I am afriad the one I am using will be hard for non-swedes to use unless they're picking up a second language

Baseballfan, years ago I used a site called fitday.com. It's free and tracks how much food and exercise you get. (I tend to be less scientific with my own food journal... I just list what I ate and when and the calories in them, not fat/protein/etc.).
If you want software on your PC or PDA rather than a website Calorie King is good, but that only works for 30 days or so unless you pay for it.
(Note: At -5 lbs. Not so good at this phase in the game, gotta get moving...)

Elubas, personally, I think it's better than 1.f3 or 1.Nh3, but heck that gives us even more motivation to avoid that fate and lose weight. :)

For me, I don't have a specific "diet", just being careful of what I eat. As for my exercise, I recently got a Wii Fit. I'ts a lot more fun than I thought it would be, and it's kicking my butt, so I think it's working! :-) Plus, I'm now down 2#.

baseballfan, let me know how the Wii Fit thing works for you. I've been seriously considering getting one but I don't know if its effective. Or interesting enough to stick to if it is. So I'd like to hear how it goes?

munchkin, I got the Wii Fit for my wife this Christmas. My experience with the Wii Fit is that it's excellent for getting you and your family into the habit of exercising for 30-60 min. everyday--it's a good jump-start. Pros: a bunch of fun mini-games that get you and your family doing balanced exercise consisting of aerobics, strength, flexibility, etc. etc. Cons: you master the included exercises too quickly, too much time is spent switching between exercises, not as much guidance on your form as a trainer would give.
When you consider what it costs, and what personal trainers cost, it's a bargain, even if you only use it for a month or two and then move on. (Rememeber, the Wii comes with Wii Sports, which also give you some aerobic exercise!)

So far, I'm loving my Wii Fit. And according to it, Im now down 5 pounds from where I was originally. That's one third of the way to may goal. This is proving to be more difficult than I thought, but I'm going to do it!

After another off day where I put on nearly 2 pounds in a day, I'm now down ~7.5 pounds. I'm halfway there. How is everyone else doing?

I will weigh in on Monday and meassure my waist. I think I am ahead of Mr Grob but far away from safe grounds.
That is the spirit! Fight-fight-fight! Being a statistician and a sucker for lists and summaries, my food intake journal has helped me a lot. It makes me much more aware of what to eat and how much to eat.
