Headache after a series of blitz games

Hey, chess-lovers! Has anybody experienced headaches after playing several blitz games in a row. That condition starts to worry me and I wonder if I'm the only one having that problem. First I feel severe blood pressure in the frontal part of the skull, then somehow it starts to give me a headache. Is it sth that an average player experiences or should I consult a doctor?

Staring at a screen might give you a headache if you are sensitive to the light. I don’t think a few games of chess would unless you are really stressing out about it.

Probably you're right. I didn't have any problems while playing real-life chess. But then again, I was younger then, much younger.

If I play too many blitz games in a row , I start to feel a pain in my head by my left ear . 🙀

i felt pain in my heart after a bunch of idiots defamed and framed me because i had had very high accuracies in many of my blitz and bullet games

Yeah it's most likely the screen and not the game unless you really take a ton of effort to think wink.png

A wise decision ! 👍

I can't play online because my nervous system goes into extreme fight/flight/freeze mode, crazy heart rate, adrenaline etc, even though I really don't consciously care if I win or lose. I'd say listen to your body, stay hydrated and find a comfortable way to play. For me that's just bots, but it's better than nothing.

Totally dig it, redtoadstool. I believe online chess is worse than offline in terms of tension and overall pressure.
