How can I best improve my skills?

Im currently a beginner (literally played for the first time ever yesterday) 16 yrs old, what is the best way to get better at the game, improve skills, tactics, overall knowledge, etc. using the internet as a primary resource? 

My goal is so achieve a score of 1600 over the next year, and from there build out to sustain a score of 2000 or more over the next 3-5 years. 

I plan to allocate 1-3 hours a day on average (sometimes more or less) every day to practicing/learning. 

Interests:

- Learning new strategies/tactics

- Improving overall game knowledge

- Learning game vocabulary

What should my self teaching daily "curriculum" be, if you will? What should I be doing every day (besides playing of course) to get better at the game?
