How do players get automatic rematch several games later???

This has happened to me a few times… I play someone, I win. No rematch is challenged at the time. I didn’t deny or accept, no rematch challenge after the initial game.

I play several other games and then after pressing the “new game” button- BAM a rematch with a player I played 2-3 games ago???

No rematch challenge accepted or denied. The screen is laid out as a rematch eg it shows 1.0 on my side and 0.0 on their side.

It’s a forced rematch with no rematch challenge accepted?

How is this possible? And how do players do it???
