Now people are joining so that they can complain about the new format.

Does it bother you that other people may have problems with the site?

Just above the text of the post, at the right-hand-side, next to the post number. are you really not seeing it?

it seem to be only affecting a very small number of members here.

So rather than having our problems fixed, you'd see us shut up?

I pay for this site. Therefore I expect a certain level of service, and that this level should not decrease during the time my subscription runs. And it has.

So I'll be beating around the bush till it's solved or my subscription runs out. I'd rather not go through the trouble of setting up shop elsewhere - there are some things to like here on chess.com - but right now, I don't get what i paid for.

That more than entitles me to complain. You're free not to read it if it bothers you.

so that you don't have to answer?

The next time you buy an iphone that doesn't work properly because you are holding it in the wrong way, the next time your car gives you trouble and your mechanic tells you he can't fix it, the next time you walk down the the street and slip on ice because the local authority hasn't treated the pavement, just remember that millions more have no problems with theirs. It must be your fault

Relevance?

So are you legitimately concerned with the site's well being or are you publicly venting your frustrations with rhetorical questions and/or facts/figures you made up.

That is such a bad analogy. Obviously if you buy a car and it doesn't work like everyone else's, then it's not your fault. But the site is the same for everyone, and works for everyone just the same.

i haven't made anything up, i merely posed a question, there is no rhetoric in that question, which so far has remained unanswered. A few people have jokingly made up their own numbers, and a few others have (unsuccessfully) tried to point me in the direction where i might find that information.

In another topic, where staff were leaving other users to help out, i was repeatedly told i had three choices. 1.Wait patiently for the troubles to be ironed out; 2. Complain louder; 3. Leave

I waited patiently. I am now voicing my displeasure more loudly, but there are more numpties on this site than i thought, who like to think that everything is ok, simply because it works for them.

The changes were poorly planned, poorly executed, and the aftermath has been poorly managed.
