How should I increase my speed?

Hi everyone!

I am playing long-time games and daily games so far and I like that type of chess.but when I play 10 min games and less I encounter time problems and often do blunders.

Do you have any tips to speed up and do the same tactics that I know?

I watch Hikaru Nakamura,s games and I see he can process so quickly and do tactics that need more time but he plays them so quickly without blunder

I work 12hours per day and My job is not my favorite and it causes me to play like patzer because I get tired and more important I feel really bad about my life

How can I solve my time pressure problem without doing blunders?

I tried to play 1min games to speed up but that is so quick for me that I cant use tactics and I can never checkmate my opponent and in the endgame, I just move my pieces to not to be timed out

I suggest just playing 10 min games at first to get more used to the time pressure without playing useless moves as in bullet. I’ll say more later, but I’m doing some work now.

Should I stop playing daily games?

It takes me to think so much to find the best move

No, I definitely think you should keep playing daily because playing too fast is probably more dangerous than playing too slowly. You just have to remember that in faster-time control games, you don’t necessarily need to find the best move: just a good move and a good plan. And you should practise tactics as well.

On the other hand, I’m not really a  good person to consult: your blitz is about 200 points higher than mine after all.

I don't think so! your bullet rating is much higher than me and you are fast player so you can help me so much about it

my favorite type of chess is long-time control chess but thinking so much is not good all the time. you cant play blitz and bullet games and you get tired of playing chess sometimes

I don't understand how grandmasters can play all types of chess at the same time?!

I don’t understand how the grandmasters can be so good either 😂

Umm I guess a bit of advise is to take fast games casually: if you see a good move: play it! Don’t ponder too hard because if you do, you will

1. Lose time

2. See ‘ghosts’ and you will try to calculate more and more about threats that may not exist

For now, don’t follow the ‘If you see a good move, look for a better one!’ concept: if you see a good move, play it happy.png.

Another thing is that your Puzzle Rush best is just 30-something. Try to spend more time on each puzzle (do survival) and hopefully that will help. I know you’re basic member so you can only do one Puzzle Rush and 5 tactics, but its a start.

Dont panic when you are low on time, and don’t rush like crazy from the start because you’re afraid to lose on time. I guess that’s about it, maybe some stronger players have other tips?

You could try asking this guy: @rychessmaster1 he is REALLY good.
