what? are you saying the world's #1 chess site printing money but relying on free services for their website moderation?

The mods are "managed" by paid staff I believe. Unsure of the actual dynamics. The problem I believe isn't just the lack of mods but the unclear policy and conflicting goals of pleasing the perceived majority. Right now it seems to be religious homeschooled kids and good "clean" spam may be preferred to the more adult bar style controversial conversations (which seemed to be more of the norm a decade ago). A lot of the site posturing has been left leaning previously and given the shift in demographics that may change

But what does a bunny know?

Whenever I'm forced to "take it" I find something to take. It's very cathartic.

Why are spam topics like these pinned??

Fwiw, any topic with titles containing "people above/below" with posts of just yes/no or numbers is just spam.

It isn't just kids there's plenty of adults to doing it

No ik a 22 year old that tries to bully people on chess.com full grown adult just trolling

And all the 60+ year olds like arguing or attacking people to much (only a few )

The kids are the ones saying copium or skill issue

There's plenty of decent 12 year olds but some of them can get annoying

And the ones complaining about cheating are at any age paranoia can effect anyone

Yeah, I'm 13 and very disappointed in how others my age or a bit older act...

A majority of the kids on here don't even play chess lol, they just go to off-topic forums.

Yeah, preferably Off Topic wouldn't show up in Hot Topics.

Lol not to mention that the majority in otf are younger than adolescent 😂
