how to have a successful group here

i regularly see complaints about groups and some of their members here in the regular forums. there seems to be some confusion about how to keep a group running where members aren't always bickering. so, even though i am not employed by the site, i am here to help. here are some general guidelines that i think can keep a group and its members generally happy and cordial for at least a month.

these guidelines are for admins and members.

  • don't be a kid
  • don't be an a**hole
  • don't spam with stupid conspiracy garbage or random nonsense
  • don't have rules
  • for admins, listen to what the members want. in reality, the club is more theirs than yours

also, remember, quantity does not equate to quality. there are about 20 members here i'd rather read than about a million others. a group with 200 or 600 members means nothing other than the number.

you're welcome.
