In India, there is no NM title. But NM titles are given to many countries. Not just USA. For example NM title is awarded in Brazil, Phillipines etc... And more countries.
Its just a national rating and if you achieve a particular rating ( eg 2200 USCF ) you get an NM title.
So yeah.. There are many countries which awards NM title !!
