In my opinion I think Gukesh will struggle to defend his W C C. when time comes, I think favourite two for winning the candidates will be Hikaru & Caruana with the Dark horse being Alierza Firouza, i think if Hikaru gets through Gukesh will be underdog as beating Hikaru with a plus score and avoiding a Blitz shootout will prove tough!
