I took this screenshot on my chess profile just now

(you guys can go to my stats to check

My current bullet rating is 1057, but under that it says that my highest is 971

i guess that is a bug, hope somebody can explain the reason or fix the bug

btw I reached highest score for all chess game types today (highest for rapid, blitz, bullet and daily)

As for the discrepancy in your bullet rating, it does indeed seem like there might be a bug. If your current rating is 1057 but your highest listed is 971, it's possible that the system hasn't updated properly.

Yes I think so

justbefair

It is updated on the website. I guess you were using one of the apps.

At any rate, this is not the place to report bugs. Please use the bug report tool on the Support menu.

The value in that panel is known to be bugged in some cases. There actually a profile redesign, which some members currently have and unless the problem exists there, it unlikely something that will be fixed.

My first guess is it is doing an alpha comparison rather than a numeric comparison. 9 is higher than 1 so 9.... is higher than 1.... regardless of the number of digits that happen to be after 9 or 1 (they can vary).

Wow reasonable explanation but that is gonna be a real algorithmic issue

SamuelChess321

The bug is still not fixed

There's a new profile design being rolled out. Unless the bug exists in the new profile it's unlikely to get fixed before the new design is site wide.

SamuelChess321

Ok but actually I love the current design

There are plenty of issues with the rating stats. I regularly see missing games or the number of the game breakdowns does not add up to the totals. I don’t think chess.com has particularly strong data engineers or programmers. That explains the shitty bullet time lag design and the inability to tackle the ubiquitous cheating issue.

Hmm maybe……
