Well, I would make one based on different musical instruments. All the pieces would be different musical instruments [examples guitar = pawn, queen =harp] and make the background either an orchestra or paper used for writing notes in music.

Each piece would make a noise corresponding to their instruments when they move, so if multiple pieces were moved in pre-move, it would make a little tune.
