I´m 100 rating points higher than I am !?

Hi. Saw some minutes ago something strange - no, not alians, ratings, my ratings. Hava a look

and in my actual games... the same...

But I only have 1633 Elo Points. What a strange thing. Now I have to fight always against much stronger opponents.....

Did somebody made the same experience?

Saw it after a second look: I have 1733 Points but my ever highest rating is 1683... funny

Ok, thank you. Yes, that is strange and, in my opinion, totaly unnecesary! It feels like cheating or something like that. And why can´t they anounce this in a way, that everybody know about it? A pop up, when you login or something like that? No, we have to discover it, have to ask around, have to wonder.... And this being higher rated as my all time best rating is  looking more than strange and makes me uncomfortable.

They adjusted the ratings, wait for it to update.

no, I did not mean that article! and why not? Because it came out - today! AFTER they did it. That is not what I call fair play! Ok, it´s only a number and one should not make to much fuss about it. But it is a bit annoying! And besides, every single time you go to the lessons or to the analyse tool you get a pop up which tells you how wonderful these things are and how you can use it - totaly useless! But to make i.e. a pop up when you log in with important changes, that seems not to be possible.

It was published on the 18th, yesterday, well before the topic was posted. I can't say when the changes to the ratings started, but it was probably around the same time.
