Why do people make these "[Insert name here] and friends" groups? There are just SO MANY in the community.

Can you please allow me to join your James1011James1011 and friends group? Smile

James1011James1011

I'm not even a premium member!

James1011James1011

If I were, though, I wouldn't make those kinds of pointless groups. They serve little purpose at all.

James1011James1011

It's a little bit selfish, too, in my opinion

James1011James1011

What? I have three friends, and have joined 5 groups, none of which are [insert name here] and friends groups.

James1011James1011

Even so, no one cares that you have 138 friends!

phudson

I care James, and I hope that he is someday able to make it to 150 friends.

James1011James1011

Alright, but all I really care about is why so many people make [insert name here] and friends groups!

DrSpudnik

Maybe if you had more friends, you'd think differently.

James1011James1011

Well, none of you have made those kinds of groups, so why do people make them?

James1011James1011

Why do people make them? There are just so many.

James1011James1011

Who even thought up of it?

RonaldJosephCote

James, when you have more threads than friends, that's not a good signSealed

James1011James1011

What? I love making threads. :(

James1011James1011

I love making threads. They give me a chance to communicate with you guys. Here, I can safely tell people my opinions without worrying about being beaten up by a drunk guy because I'm just a person with a Kirby profile pic who is safe behind his screen. Also, I just really like making threads. I can joke around with everybody, and no one cares at all. We just throw a party like tomorrow doesn't exist. What I don't like are those "[insert name here] and friends" groups. No one needed to create them. They just sit there, and even if people talk there, someone could have easily created a thread instead of have to pay good money just to form a group that is completely pointless. All in all, threads are awesome, and what's nice about them is you can make and post in them and no one really cares what you post.

James1011James1011

How's that for elaborate?

James1011James1011

OK. I'm not sure what you mean by "very caring" though. Who am I caring for? The people who make those groups? You? Me? Your comment needs to say much more than just "very caring." Explain yourself! No one cares about an idea unless you explain it. Evidence is a strong thing. With it, you can practically hypnotize anyone into believing what you say. For example, a week ago, a user named Arsenal_77 told me that a user named PetarKell was a cheater. He gave me the magical thing called evidence, so I knew he was right. We fought PetarKell, who spoke really poor English, eventually convincing even more people to join our cause. PetarKell, however, could provide no evidence whatsoever about why he wasn't cheating. He just kept calling Arsenal_77 a troll. The next day, Arsenal_77's account was closed, so I had to take over as the leader of the cause that PetarKell was cheating. PetarKell kept fighting my army of supporters, but, since the fight was in a forum, (more evidence that forums are great) I reported PetarKell and submitted the forum as evidence. We continued to fight until it became night-time. The next day, I woke up to find that PetarKell got banned. The reason? It was all because of a magical thing called evidence.

How was THAT for elaborate?

This is a guestion of psychology: many people wants (or needs) to promote their own names, this is why this numerous groups appears. I think they wants the groups with their own names winning collective matches and vote games, and also a people which is ready to compete for their names.
