Something chess.com has difficulties with. Something simple like their new master title could have been easily explained away but no this is not how we do things here. Perhaps they like the activity that comes with the confusion.

In the end the mods bear the brunt

Anyone remember the v3 fiasco?

That sentence was physically painful to read

Nothing like physical pain to take away the mental pain.

And nothing like mental pain to take away physical pain. It's a never ending cycle, isn't it?

No it isn’t because death takes away both.

A cycle of just 2 things.  A bicycle.

It would seem everyone posting on here is an animal!
Woollysock

And they say change must come from within. We know better.

But the zoo at least involved the community and managed expectations.

TheHarbingerOfDoom
Yes and the animals in the zoo are much more civilised than the creatures running it!

It's not pleasant for me to make such a list, but here are some ideas that may be in Erik's mind when thinking of the forums...

  • The forums don't make the site money (compare to features like puzzle rush or events with GMs)
  • The mods don't cost anything, they're volunteers.
  • Less than 1% of the people who use chess.com participate in the forums

So it's little wonder why turmoil (if it exists) in this community and/or among its moderators barely registers, if it all, with executives.

They've actually admitted as much. The bunny's just being bone headed bringing this up.

But at least some of the mods love the forums, @batgirl, probably being the foremost of them.

Nah more like a petting zoo with a grizzly bear. Or the barnyard with a grizzly.
