Yes, it makes sense. The biggest fight here is not with the English, but with the Scottish that have fear of losing their protection. It's like that angry and cold husband that hits you and treat you bad, but pay the bills and keep the thief out... The truth is that we are giving up of our freedom in exchange of protection.

But if they don't change the way they deal with us, well, soon or later we will separate.

I have the feeling you might not be missed.

Uff...

Why not implement a timebank.

5 minutes disconnect protection. Remove 1 minute after every one witch is not soon restored, just abandoned. Then give 1 minute back every 30 days with no dissconnects.

Problem solved.

Because there won't be a chance for that.

I bet he is english, for the kind of complaining he's making...

Scots people are always generalising....

Are you sure that I'm the one generalizing here?

Don't take it bad... It's just that you english people have a particularly way of being.

Sorry , my very dry humour....

Any other group than the English would run the "racist" epithet up the flag pole against "a particularly way of being" comment, but I would defend your right to stereotype, because stereotyping does have a certain survival potential. If I was walking through Glasgow late at night I'd carry plenty of fruit and veg to scare people off

I know that... English people are good to talk, in this point, because they don't use to try to run away or change the focus of a conversation with the classical sentences like "you're being racist" or "this is not politicaly correct"... But anyway, I wasn't stereotyping the English people.

You're making fun of us, saying that you would walk in Glasgow at night with fruits and veges to scare people or mentioning the "Scottish way to deal with threads" that you made to the other user (Kaynight).

And than the English people ask why we want to separate... I could give you all my reasons to talk about England, but it would start a Scottish X English fight, and I see things are already tense here (not between us, but the others)...

But let me be funny too: you know what would really scare people here? You scream in the streets that we will be part of UK forever! hehe ;)

I'd love independence for Scotland. I don't think the majority of people in England want Scotland as  as partner. That's not to say we can't get along as friendly neighbours.

To be serious for  moment, the real issue with native populations is with how central banking works. Banking is the hidden agenda of all strife over the last couple of centuries. People are bought off. The ruling class of England during the so called "Glorious Revolution" were bought off by European bankers.

Kaynight's "America belongs to us" jocular remark has more truth then you would think. It doesn't belong to us but it belongs to the class that controls the banking system that also controls all of Western government. The Americans proclaimed indepedence in 1776 and lost it in 1913 with the Federal Reserve.

The Scottish people have either been bought off like their ancestors were prior to the act of union during the referendum or there was some fraud in the ballots. Listen, the government in this country, or more to the point, those that pull their strings, are absolute scum. They will lie cheat and kill young children for sexual gratification. Rigging a ballot is nothing to them.

But anyway Carol, I think you can see from the variety of personalities on this thread that to generalise to the extent you do is probably worthy of a little reconsideration ...As you are interested in politics examine underlying causes and dont' just come out with slogans and generalisations.Best wishes...

ConnorMacleod_151

ok... i read the first line.

ConnorMacleod_151

The majority of Scots are English...

mu ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!

Pulpofeira

I read all of it.

This is supposed to be about disconnections. It is all too typical of these "discussions," or should one say slanging matches, to stray completely off the point. Maybe, however this is the point - what the OP was seeking. We have certainly seen these rows started deliberately before.

RG1951

Kay,

As you see, I returned and edited. True enough, there are Scottish separatists, but this is nowhere near what the original thread was about.
