too much stuff to read especially given that everyone's quoting everyone and everyone wrote essays for no reason. I still don't understand the argument you're engaging in besides people saying whether or not anyone cares about @JackRoach

The feeling is mutual my friend. I don’t care to argue with you because it is, quite frankly, pointless. What is there to argue about? Nothing! I had an opinion you didn’t like. Simple. Maybe I did some light trolling but this really wasn’t a troll thread for me. I spoke my mind. But now I’m done. As I said before, I hope to end on good terms. We are still on good terms . I appreciate you for the positive interaction you have had with me . But I would like to tell you politely that I disagree with your arguments on this thread . Apologies if I was a bit rude 

One thing I can say is that I disagree with all the aboriginal forumers who say that threads like these serve no purpose (this specific one does serve no purpose but ones paying tribute to people who closed their accounts are what I'm referring to). They seem disillusioned with the fact that personal friendships exist on this site

But I do feel as if this thread shouldn't exist as there's already been like 5 different threads on this subject and any more feels like cult worship to me

Ok, time to expose myself once more. Unless, "expose," offends anyone. I looked up some synonyms, reveal, uncover, unmask, discover, bring to light all work just fine. Fill in the black with what you want, or add another one if you're not satisfyed.

Anyway, I'll tell you all the real reason I argue with trolls. It's for, attention. I like arguing, and I like attention. I like to put on a good show, and I try to do that with trolls. Now, I haven't failed yet with arguing I don't think, because I have the most at stake when I lose, unlike the troll. I have an audience.

So I try to pick arguments that I think I can win, that way the odds are in my favor. Another reason is:

Anyway, if you're staying on the forums to ask chess questions I recommend you join the Beginners and Masters club. You can ask chess-related questions while being part of an inclusive community and without having to deal with the toxicity of the public forums

It gives me terrible implications, what if people can say whatever they want, and then just offer a draw when losing and suddenly everything is fine? Doesn't seem very fair to me.

I do plan on being a Marketing major so this is just an internship I suppose lol

well I read it, i just didnt analyze it in great detail. I saw the resulting comments after the op
