And yeah, they say that you can't look back that far if you're not premium, but if one becomes premium, suddenly all those games become viewable, indicating that they are in storage, occupying bandwidth.
All games are stored, but games take hardly any storage space since each game is just a few lines (a few dozen) of text, and very short lines, at that. Pittance compared to storing binary files.
Besides, games can't be deleted from the database. Suppose Player A is long gone and won't be back. But a lot of his games will have been against people still here, so those games can't be deleted without deleting other people's games too. And even games between two people never coming back can be parts of tournament or match records that other people may want to review.
that makes perfect sense..
