btickler;  pease send that post to Itude. Maybe Erik already knows all that computer speak. Its miles over my head, but use technology to get rid of the abusers, because the abuers are using techno to ruin our enjoyment of this site.

I totally agree with you RonaldJosephCote! Hoping Eric does what is truly best for Chess.com and does whatever is needed to make this #1 site even better than it is! After all, Better is what we all strive for!

I would not be that helpful in this regard :), I only dealt with these kinds of issues from the director level...so while I can suggest ways to build hardware/software infrastructure and set up customer service policies and procedures, and I can even point out specific courses of action at a departmental level, I am not an in-the-trenches sysadmin/networking guy.

I can tell you the best way to migrate/merge 28 billing systems into one ;)...but I am less useful for tracking individual spammers/abusers.

Agreed;  that's what happened here. Erik laid down standard common sense rules 6 yrs ago.  The poor mods got burnt out, as the membership numbers grew. I think he just wants a new/old set of rules, to try and hold them back for another 6 yrs. But people are getting nastyer EVERYWHERE. Hoolywood, Congress, etc. They push the envelope, rationalize the behavior, and demand an apology from the person they offended.

Lol, did you work for one or more of those ISPs? :)

RonaldJosephCote

Maybe Erik can keep you on retainer for suggestions. Even if he just plugs you in every 6 months.

No, no, no - I'm still in school. I just think it's cool that you were part of that!

Maybe we should leave it for Itude??   Erik doesn't post that often, but its 200 post a day, for 5 days.
