Mobile Chess for the iPhone?

I recall when the Mobile Chess feature was introduced, there was a promise made that it would be coming for the iPhone shortly thereafter.  (It currently works on most other app phones, but not that one.)  What is the status of that?  Is it going to be available anytime soon?

I ask because I like to make moves in my games over my lunch break, when I have the time.  It's possible to do it in the standard Safari browser, and in fact that's how I do it... but I'm sure it would be much faster if I didn't have to load the whole page every time I navigated around.

it's in early stages. it will be a while. sorry! but i personally just got an iphone, so i'm very motivated now ;)
