srry i think hat teh queen opening (queen 2 castle 5) is teh best then i put my queen in guud places a bishop is in their somehwo but i also lyk horsies becuz they jump over peaces i dont play teh bishop opening but i play teh queen opening lol

I don't understand all you people who think the Bishop is the second most powerful piece on the board.  Rooks are the obvious choice there.  Bishops would be great if they could promote like their counterparts do in Shogi.  But they don't.  They can only reach one color on the board.  Knights also have their downsides, but a skilled player can make them as useful or more so than a bishop.  Bishops are only good if you can keep the both of them. 

clearly that's wrong. Pawns are the most powerful piece. Not only do they stubbornly move in only one direction (no games, no deception - they are to be trusted), but they can be a queen (with proper wig, makeup, etc) or a horsey thingy or a big castle thingy, or even a bishop!
