No, I haven't. But then again, I also know how to say it in Japanese (chess.comにようこそ), though I've never been to Japan either .
If you must know, when I was at college a few years ago, I knew someone from Ghana, who I think was also from Accra. And I ended up "somehow" picking up tiny bits (but only tiny bits ) of the lingo (both Akan/Twi and Ga). There are also online dictionaries which I can use to remind me of anything I've forgotten, not that I often need to use Akan/Twi or Ga
. In fact, this is the first time I've talked to someone using either language.

Mete borɔfo kasa nko ara .
Seriously though, it's not hard to find basic phrases (such as the one above ). I wouldn't call my command of either language "advanced". Though, it probably is advanced for a non-Ghanian who's never been to Ghana
. My Japanese is probably also advanced for a gaijin who's never been to Japan (it's certainly more advanced than my Twi or Ga
).

Thanks very much adamplenty!
Yes,I agree with you: advanced for a non-Ghanaian who's never been to Ghana!
Mesua Yapan kasa ma metumi di agoro Yapan kasa Mega Drive aguro. Mete nso France kasa kakra.
Am I talking nonsense?

No! You are not talking nonsense adamplenty! I understood what you are saying. You understand French too: ca va bien? As for Japanese,I don't understand a word of it!
It's "ça va bien", not "ca va bien" . Me ho yɛ/Je vais bien/元気です
. My French is a little rusty because I haven't used it in a while though.
Berɛ bɛn wofiti ase goro?

Thanks. My computer does not print those accents, so I can only write: ca va bien. Thanks for the correction, though.
There are ways to use those accents. Assuming you use Windows (though there are probably similar methods on other systems), you can use character map, or you can use an extended keyboard layout (I use the United Kingdom Extended keyboard layout for English, I don't know which one you use). There may also be special key combinations to print them, but I'm not sure about that.
And yes, I notice you haven't started playing Chess yet (I actually tried to ask when you're going to start playing, but I'm assuming I got it wrong
).
