than users who are down a queen+ and don't resign. Show some respect for your opponent. I would only drag out a game like that if my opponent was a total douche. This should be a violation of fair play policy.

Some users don’t take draws. There’s always a possibility that you’ll mess up and they’ll win. It shouldn’t be a violation of fair play policy imo.

I really hate when my opponent has the black pieces and doesn't resign right away forcing me to play an entire game.  What could possibly be more torturous?

OK. I really love when my opponent has the Black pieces recognizes the futility, and resigns.

I had a hilarious OTB game once were somebody complained that I wasn't resigning in a queen+king vs king situation. Then he accidently stalemated me and proved me right.

I am not saying you would mess up such an easy position but people can make big mistakes and I would say it's quite possible to come back from a queen down at the 1300-1400 level you are at (even at 2000+ it can happen)

the unprofessional side of chess, when an expert can’t admit he was beat and trolls his opponent frustrated.png

I hate more that player who is up a queen goes to promote another. For me that shows that player is not confident that (s)he can mate with queen and king only.

I hate when opponents resign early. I would rather play it out and work on my end game.

I hate it when you buy fresh bread from the bakery...and two days later it's moudy..

I hate it when people won’t turn the headlights on at dusk especially when they’re driving a car that blends in with the road at that time of light. I also hate the assholes that drive with their brights on at night and won’t turn them off until they’ve already burned your retinas. jus’ sayin’.

Oh. And BatGirl is hysterical

Draws aren't the issue, I'm talking about players down like 10 pieces and just dragging out the game instead of resigning.

I don't consider that a legitimate win. I consider that a loser who got thoroughly outplayed and got lucky.

Why is it that so many people hate playing a game where they have an easy win? The rules are clear. Your opponent does not have to resign and has no reputation to worry about. Beat him.

If you blunder and he wins it is as legitimate as any other victory where the opponent blunders.  Yes, it would be nice if the opponent showed "respect" but a violation of fair play? Not a chance.
