One wrong move

Stick with it our trial game on its entirety and beauty is tge best game on the planet, I have been playing now 54 years and still love the game more than ever, played county and over the board for 43 years but now only play for pleasure in my retirement years. I do get frustrated when I here of certain silly movements and groups wanting to change certain rules of our game-play, my brother in law was an example came over asked if I wanted a game of chess he knew of my love for the game!! We sat down setup the pieces, then he said, new rules, what I asked, he said he doesn't allow en-passant captures and no Stalemate?? I told him our Royal game and it's rules remain and I won't play any other way, why not he said make the game simpler, I started putting away the pieces and bid him a polite goodbye and went into my study where I have a chess board and book collection and continued a classic game from capablanca's greatest games!

The constant challenge and the opportunity to learn from each game make chess a compelling and rewarding pursuit.
