People pretending to stall the game

Every now and then I run into people who stop playing after 3,4 fast moves in a 45 minutes game, then they wait 30 minutes before they come back, hoping the opponent isn't attentive. In my last game this worked out because I fell asleep, he "won". The player left for 23 minutes after move two in a standard position.

What's wrong with these people? Why would you go to such lengths to win in online chess? They should be banned imho, what do you guys think?

I have suffer this type of behavior. I think I would put a per move time limit on the game.

Maybe make it 1.50 minutes because rothaus falls asleep after 2. happy.png

Looks like 45 min is a dead point time control!

Play 3 mins game (u wont fall asleep ) or 3 hours game (you have enough time to resume the game after you fall asleep)

Am I too genius? grin.png
