for example, you lose the game, probably opponent no more interesting to play with you...
Why opponent must continue to spend their time to entertain you?
However, if you are willing to pay 1k dollars per game - write me, you'll get so much rematches, depends how you have enough money.
:) it is cruel, but totally fair

Fohad, I know the feeling - you lose a close, hard fought match and want another go against an aggressive opponent. The guy, of course, declines, leaving you a bit worked up. How about a standard policy of neither giving nor asking for a rematch.

The solution, of course, is:  don't get worked up over a game.

I want to expose a problem that happens very often at the end of the game :  unfortunately more than 70 of players not only  decline a rematch when they win the game but sometimes simply they ignore your offer of a rematch and disconnect. Those players are a  real shame for this noble game, and I'm sure they are selfish persons, arrogants, insolents and whatever you want. They don't deserve to be called chessplayers, they don't understand what is the meaning of fairplay. by the other side there are lovely people whom playing a game is a real pleasure: they don't cheat and they accept a rematch no matter they win or lose. but this kind of players is a minority comparing to the "bad guys".

I agree totally with you. Some players didn't have respect towards their opponents by ignoring the rematch. My argument is simple: why those players simply ignore the rematch instead of clicking the button "decline"?! because they simply don't respect the opponent. there is a great difference between ignoring a rematch (which is a lack of respect) and declining a rematch (which is acceptable and normal). it's just a simple click on the "decline" button which makes the difference.

um... have you considered that maybe they're ignoring your rematch request because they already left the game??

Also, just because you made a request, doesn't mean that your opponent has to respond to your request. Even if it's just clicking a button, it's still more work than not having to click it.
