you sound like my brother (I'm his little sister) but don't worry you still look cool (I do know what I'm doing and I get beaten too just not the first few times) for your sister, it's beginners luck. You've only been on an hour.
Please tell me this also happened to you...
She said that too ^^ and I am actually glad she was lucky cause otherwise she wouldn't have played with me again..not like she playes with me very often. So I joined here and started improving a bit by doing puzzles and playing games with people who actually KNOW what they are doing (unlike myself) and I really enjoy playing although I lose most of the time due to the stupidest mistakes ever...the joy of being a beginner ^^
So I recently got into chess again after not playing for like 15 years (I tried it as 10 year old and lost interest pretty fast) and after getting the rules and a few games against the computer (I wasn't a member then) I decided it would be awesome to teach my sister so she could play with me as we have a "real" set at home...stupid as I was I thought yeaah this is going to be an easy win where I can show off my skills and fancy moves like castling and en passant. Long story short..my sister beat me within 15 moves without knowing the rules and how to move the figures and after that she beat me several times still without a clue on what she is doing. Has something similar happend to you when you were trying to show off? I deserved the losses but it's still bitter lol
