I started to play some tournaments and since my rating is not so high (yet I hope, its going up) I playing <1199 tournaments. As I noticed, some people deliberately lower their rating (sometimes just starting games and resign in 1-2 moves) to have their rating to fit in the limit. Then they play people less good and collect medals. Some has gained 400-500 medals by this method, obviously destroying tournaments for people who want to raise their rating and play just as good players.
What do you think about this behavior? And do you think there is any way to make chess.com aware of the problem and make them do something about it?
This is called sandbagging and it's not allowed. Report them, they'll get banned
I wish your answer was the right one. But I reported many times and nothing happens. As I can see of their record they been doing it for about a year. So I wonder if it is another way?
