Just downloaded the app onto my iPad to try it out and cannot play a game. Whenever I try to start a game it just says “Rating range must include your own rating”. It’s just a 1 day game, random, standard. Haven’t done anything clever, just fired up the app, created account and tried to play a game. What’s going on, any idea?

In settings, you can set the range of ratings for players you want to challenge.

Doesn’t seem to help. According to the create challenge screen it says 800 -50 to +300. I don’t actually know what my rating is as a new player cos it doesn’t tell me. I am guessing 800 as that’s the rating it varies the challenge off? Can’t see anywhere else where it tells me my ratings.
With the iOS app, tap on Stats to see your ratings.
Your app profile says your initial daily rating is 1200.
To get started, maybe try accepting a challenge from the open challenges list.
