All right; I don't think your a real veteran. Most guys will tell you their rank, their dates of service, their MOS, the branch of service, etc. You don't talk the lingo. EVERYBODY gets the short form, and the V.A. gets a copy of the long form. I'm pretty sure you didn't see combat. Everybody gets full benefits after 3 yrs. Veterans law is different than military law, but maybe your recruiter pulled one over on you. You would know this if you spent any time at a V.A. I was hoping to trip you up with the nuclear, or Coast Guard question. NO 214's have #'s on them; the insurance number you mentioned has to do with if you died in combat. I'll prove it to you. I was in the Air Force from 1974-1978. I was sent to March air force base, southern Calif. HQ's--Strategic Air Command 15thAF 22nd Security Police Squadron. My MOS was 81150; which means, I guarded planes and bombs. 81130 is a beginer, 81170 is a supervisor. I was a marksman, received an Article 15, a couple of letters of reprimand, numerous letters of counseling, an Honorable Discharge, and I spent a week in the brig one night. I worked with K-9 a little. You had to pay for your G.I.Bill to go to school under the Montgomery Bill of rights. I had the old bill, which was a lot better. The VA has given me 2 back operations; L-4, & L-5, and the anasthesia is FABULOUS. None of this is confidential info kid. I should of asked you enlisted or officer. Play on this site, post, even cheat if you want too, but DON'T talk military trash to me. I did my 4 yrs the hard way. I earned it by cleaning K-9 kennels. God knows the officers wouldn't do it.
RE: Help!

Ok kid; now you made me get another coffee. If you check post 12-14. I NEVER ask you for a social security number. I wanted your MOS # to confirm your job. This is the first post you mention 0621. You can't request the long form at a University. You get it at the VA, and bring it to the school when applying for financial aid. And yes; I have an Associates in Liberal Arts from Holyoke Community College in 1986. You seem awfully angry for someone who didn't see combat. After you grow up, you'll need the VA for something. Maybe a few mental hygiene sessions?? I take it you were discharged under other than honorable conditions??

Going to the VA has nothing to do with going back; any real veteran would know that, but evidently you don't know your military history either. The VA started after WW1 as a union of soldiers. WW1 guys got royally screwed. They were promised benefits$$, but the country was broke. So they marched on Washington D.C. (tent city?). They got shot apon like hippies.

There was no Military Transition Program in 1973. One day your killing gooks in the jungle. The next day, your on a plane home. When people ask for your 214, they want the run down on your service. Job, ribbons, dates of service, which determines benifits, any time lost. It was originally used as a receipt so the guys in WW2 could come home, and get a job. A law had to be passed to guaranty you could get your old job back. I think youwere discharged, "for the convinence of the gov,". The university or, I'm sorry, podunk community college DOESN'T CARE WHY you were discharged. They just want THE MONEY. Here's what I DO know. If you don't talk about the combat you've seen; IT WILL EAT YOU ALIVE. Take your time kid; the VA will be there long after your dead. Oh!, I forgot; you'll need them for your burial, and if you buy a house. One more thing; You keep calling me muppet. Call me ANIMAL, because he was the muppet that played the drums, and that's how I deal with my anger from kids like you.

keyboard warrior; raging plastic gorilla, in 1973 I wasn't born???? If only it was that simple. In 1973 there was a draft. I was 17 yrs old, and selective service was right around the corner. When I turned 18; in 1974, I joined the Air Force; May 10. I missed the Massachusetts bonus by 2 weeks. When you go through this military transition period, does your mom hold your hand?? Whatever you say kid; I got real soldiers I could be helping. GOODBYE!

Although I bear little sympathy to RJC for his "civilians shut up and obey" attitude, this post still wins a prize.
Seriously, even assuming you have the Secret Service behind you (ha ha), who would believe they have nothing better to do than eliminate trolls on the internet ?

Irontiger; Growing up, I had that same problem with shut up and obey. But once I hit 40 yrs old, I'm glad I went that way. I also have NO PROBLEM with his rant. Unfortunately, his language is gonna cause it to come down. Real veterans and Navy Seals don't act that way. That's why its called discipline.

My philosophy is that a truckload of trolling BS is better than an ounce of censorship. You can always ignore the trolling, but you cannot un-censor a white screen into interesting stuff.
Of course trolling, rants, etc. get tiring, but I prefer mocking them to censoring them.
Unless you are in fact, Chris Kyle, you have just commited a felony. Think of that for a secnod next time you threaten someone on the internet. Anyone one this site could call the police and tell them you were threatening TO KILL SOMEONE. shut the fuck up.
p.s., i lied, it's still illegal to threaten someones life even if you are Chris Kyle
What ate we sniffing,I like paint fumes personally!
