resigning after only 1 move

Have you ever experienced this: you accept a challenge, and then they resign after only one move? I have and to me this is one of the most annoying things I run across.

usually i play 1. b4, 1. g4, as white,and my opponent cancelling it,maybe he is afraid that im prepared and afraid of losing points.

It happens a lot in blitz games on here when I open with the queen's pawn.

It's never happened with the king's pawn opening though.
