Wow Suggo, your ENTIRE points rests on a typo. That is quite hilarious.

The cold hard fact that nobody likes you because you do your best to annoy other people for absolutely no reason. That sounds like a good one to me ;)

My entire point!?  Really!!??  lol

Could you not see the first 50% of my post Rainbow??  The half where I actually addressed the topic and asked you for what you considered the cold hard facts of the topic at hand were.  Although you didn't really deserve to be addressed upon the subject as you have contributed nothing whatsoever to this thread or even tried to.

Anyway, let's now address the 'typo'.  Emabress vs Embarrass...emab - the ab instead of ba I could believe was a typo...maybe even only putting one r in could be a typo...the e instead of an a is starting to stretch the typo excuse even for the most inept of typist out there.  But putting it all together in one word like that...well I certainly wouldn't be passing that as a simple typo!  No need to be emabressed about it though, not everyone knows how to use spell check! lol

Now as I suggested earlier, Give it up, you don't have the talent to get the better of me!WinkCool

Suggo

Interesting that you continue to ignore the first part of each of my posts...

Do you really think going down this path is making anyone, other than yourself, look just a little bit silly?

Btw, you are doing a bang up job so far! Laughing

So which is it?  You are going to continue or not!!??  Laughing

Well good contribution to the thread there Rainbow, well done!  Now you have tried and failed to emabress me get we go back to the actual topic or something close?

Suggo

Hmmm this sounds familiar....but I didn't start this one! Smile

Is the topic about tolerance?

No, it's about cheating.

And cheating is not tolerated here.

Actually this thread is very much about tolerance.  The question of second chances has been a major point of discussion and I do believe tolerance is very much involved.  To say it was about cheating wouldn't really be correct, I think it was more about the response to being caught cheating than the act of cheating itself...again very much about tolerance.

My argument was simply that if someone is sincerely remorseful I like to give them a second chance... I guess this displays what level of tolerance I have.... it's an individual thing. Some people are just more forgiving than others... The person in question gave so much to this site, so for this reason I am extra forgiving in this situation... because I saw a lot of good qualities that he had... so he wasn't perfect... who is?

And I am not saying by any means that cheating should be tolerated or accepted.. quite the opposite... and I commend Erik on his strong stance against it...I believe banned members for cheating are allowed to return under a new account as long as they don't cheat again.... so this shows there is some tolerance from the site to give players a second chance.... they just don't allow that player to continue cheating...

Someone can correct me if I am wrong here.... I have been wrong before.. Once I think, or maybe twice.... lol

That is good to hear about 2nd Chance by Chess.com

Say what? Why would anybody that's not even involved implant their-self into a thread that they want to see discontinued? Just don't read it if you aren't entertained. I am tracking this thread and I find it quite interesting. Two verbal pugilists tossing words at each other. Both right on the brink of a knock out. You're like a referee that took a bribe to stop a fight early, only you are doing it for free. Keep fighting guys, never take a dive for anybody at any cost. Don't toss in the towel and compromise what the chess.com world loves about you.

Sorry. You're right ChessD. I'm just a bit annoyed because I've been tracking this to see if my questions have been answered and all I've seen seems to have been those two going at it. All I really would like to know is what will happen to any articles or blogs Lizard87 had posted.

gxtmf1 - I have no idea what will happen to his articles. I am sure that since he contributed a mountain of info that Eric will find a way to keep his contributions open and his account closed. The sad thing is that there isn't any real way to tell who is cheating or not. I've had streaks where I made it above 2000 and now I am struggling to stay above 1700. If I start playing as well as I used to I could be accused of cheating based on better performance.

gxtmf1

I know what it's like to have mercurial streaks. I went from 1200-1300 to the 1600's in 2 months.

Well if all you have seen is Rainbow and I posting then you need your eyes checked!!

Your question was post #375, Rainbow didn't post his first non contributionary post until #442.  Between #442 and now the back and forth Rainbow and I had totalled 18 posts (I only included posts that were off topic, not my posts that were contributing to the issues at hand and had nothing to do with Rainbow which there were only a couple).

Your "stop the pissing contest" post was #486.  111 posts in between your question and that post...So if all you have seen is Rainbow and I, then I don't really know how you missed the other 90 odd posts.  A visit to the eye doctor might be in order!

Hi suggo.....

I see you are getting in to childish forum arguments again - when will you throw a strop because you are wrong and block another member??
