I know some people who can actually tell what part of the game they need to work on without a coach I just want to know is how I think I already know how to do it but just to be sure is there any other thing that people do to tell there has to be way since GM's need to be able to tell what there mistake's are in order to get better.
What i do is analyse my games then analyse it with an engine, and see where i went wrong,
I analyse 10 games for example, then if 6/10 games i went wrong in the opening stage then i know i need to work on the opening stage, but if i messed up 6/10 times on middlegames/endgames then thats what i need to work on, or if i messed up tactically in 4 games then i know i need to work on that,
thats how you find out what you need to improve on
