Shadow dragon is a US govt contractor that scrapes data from websites and apps for the U.S state department, dea, ice among others. They count chess.com as one of the places they scrape data from. It seems that this is in violation of terms of service. We come here to play and learn a beautiful game, not to aide government surveillance and the crack down of free speech and association. I mention free speech and free association because shadow dragon is specifically used to target protesters. I hope everyone can see the problems with allowing a company like shadow dragon infiltrate our lives poses a threat to everyone. Please write chess.com and tell them to end this invasion of privacy.
