yeah cus in otb theyd sigh loudly and turn away from the board and youd have to see they were displeased
I had an opponent who had a series of coughing fits, but only when it was my turn.

I do send messages during games just to mess with my opponent's a bit but, I would never do it in otb
I have more of a problem when people send me childish messages when they are winning because their play is not unassisted. Sometimes I tell them that I'm gathering data.
haha, nice one. When I was in search of a reliable online assignment expert or writer, I stumbled upon this https://www.grabmyessay.com/write-my-assignment website. It proved to be a tremendous asset in assisting me with my assignments, ensuring I met my deadlines without compromising on quality.
You'd be surprised how petty some people can be in chess and even OTB. Good thing there is the mute chat option here!
There was this one time I was helping organize a tournament with around 200 participants, and there was a man that lost to a kid. He literally turned the board over after he lost and all the pieces fell and made so much noise. The funny part was that everyone in the room was so focused on their chess game, literally no one noticed it except the people beside and the non-players. XD
What possesses someone to send childish messages because they are losing a game? It's a game. Just a game. And you are losing. Just get over it and move on. You lost because the other player was better on that occasion. "Well done" is more polite than "you suck, you got lucky." I even got told that "attack and sac" just isn't chess. I'm not sure about that!
There is no need to send any message at all during a game, you wouldn't do that in OTB play. If you can't hack losing at a board game, where there is not one penny at stake, you really should just turn the computer off and go and get a life.
