I once played a guy who captured a pawn and I had 23 points worth of pieces. He offered a draw. I declined. He immediately resigned.
I mean really?

haha. I wonder if some of the people who offer these strange draws might shed some light on this behaviour!
this is not a complaint. Its merely a request that others with similar experiences may shed some light on this strange occurence. I sometimes get draw offers repeatedly during a game. Sometimes it is early in the game, and sometimes the draw offers continue comiung during the game. since I'm focusing pretty hard on the game I usually don't see the draw offer when it comes in; I usually become aware of it when I see that I have 'declined' the draw. Just now I had this experience, repeated draw offers. Since I thought I had decent chances in the game (I won it :)) I ignored the draw offers when I saw them, but I was surprised by how many I got. I wrote in the chat line "do you want to leave the game? I don't understand", and I got no response except for...another draw offer. I realize my opponent may not have understoof english...that is a possibility. But I think that if this isn't a glitch on the server...there's something about offering draws that I don't understand yet.
Sometimes I have to leave game before its finished, because I have an appointment or an important phone call or something. In that case I always tell the oppoent in the chat that I have to go, I apologize, and I then resign.
In the case I just experienced the opponent kept playing. S/he neither abandoned the game, nor resigned. So I was puzzled by all the draw offers.
It doesn't happen often, and its not irritating, just puzzling. any thoughts? Radio
