I have nothing to say but I want to be heard.

I have nothing to show but I want to be seen.

You have nothing to say, so I shan't hear you and just say what I want, to be heard.

Even the sphinx has no idea what this is about. No it's not a puzzle you google.

Even the spinks thinks it's confusing

But then, where do the children play?

I think that requiring people to complete a chess CAPTCHA before every post would drastically reduce the amount of rapid fire spam posting and would cut out a lot of the "I wanna be heard" boredom posts.

Shouldn't be too difficult to implement something like that.

They can go to the library and check out a book on chess. Then after they've learned how to spot the insanely simple mate in one from the screenshot they can start posting on the forums.

but what happens if they don't want to spend money

Libraries don't charge you for checking out books. Go try it out, it's fun..

I didn't know it was spam when posted

There’s nothing we can really do, since chess.com has made it clear that they don’t care about the quality of the forums here. Besides, more and more kids will continue joining.

I know I just wanted people to know that

Havings lots of things to say, I experienced more than in turn, the following reactions to my worked on posts:

1°) No one even bother to reply nor to comment.

2°) One or more have got nothing better to do than to point out, me posting this must be for a bad reason (or else why?).

3°) With or without 2°), sarcasms and the like.

For some reason, many forum users take pride in displaying mere disdain toward anything close to knowledge, serious talks, etc.

Well, what you want is what you get.

Lucky me has other things to do.

Why did I not say it in forum? I have no problem saying it in forum. :-)

I said in private message, "You don't know me but I'm a newb. I wanted to say that most here are good folks; it's just the loud-mouths that swarm this website.

I haven't looked and you're most assuredly higher ELO than me (just about everyone is) but I (for one) AM interested in your posts. Just so ya know."

Everyone feels ignored at some time ... doesn't mean we are against you.
