Tactic Trainer broken?

Hi! Lately I often get puzzles which are way below my rating and should be easier than the ones in my rating range, but I have the feeling they're not. For example today out of the 5 puzzles there were 3 puzzles >2300 (my rating is 2600) and I solved all of them. 2 where only 1700 and both I couldn't solve. Such things are happening often lately, I often get one or two lower rated puzzles (1400-1700) which don't seem to be easier, but of course when I got them wrong, my rating drops immensely.

It's not broken but there has been a change in how they're rated on the backend. That change doesn't show in the interface yet, so the ratings shown can be a lot different than the actual puzzle's rating.

But which of the two ratings is used to select the puzzles presented to the user and to update the user's rating? Because I feel that some very hard puzzles shouldn't be given to me at all, considering my rating.

The backend rating is being used for both puzzle selection and rating.

The change sucks and doesn't help you progreses or learn sequentially. I contacted chess.com about this and got no help. I'm not renewing because of it.

Mine seems to be: 2 solvable followed by 1 very hard so I seem to be staying around the same rating...

Also, does Puzzle Coach have anything to do with difficulty?
