The warnings for aborting games

I hope I am posting it in the right section.

I have seen the warning for aborting games a few times. I just want to draw attention to a flaw in the system. Sometimes a player just does not make a move for a very long time and the game does not automatically abort either. I am posting a screenshot of a game where the player did not make a move for 15 minutes in a 30 minute game. I aborted and got a warning.

Let me know if I am making any mistakes.

The server is not going to change this policy, unfortunately.  Although well done, that is an excellent screenshot.  You even go as far as to blur the opponent's name so it's not naming-and-shaming! It'd be great if staff could reply but they never seem to comment on this issue.

The moment you accept a game, white's clock starts.

the computer cannot differentiate between a player that needs 20 min to find a move and the guy who is losing and simply refuses to move again.

It is perfectly valid to take 20 min to move in a 30 min game.  Not good use of time, but allowed.   There is no way to tell --- and your game abort cost you the game and a warning.  Just let it run the clock down, and if that bothers you, play a different time control.

This argument makes no sense when we are talking about move 1.  No one should need more than, say, 15 seconds to make the first move of the game.  If no piece has been moved for 15 seconds probably there is no opponent there.

I would rather play and lose than sit doing nothing and win. Whats the fun in that?

Yeah, I didn't wany to name him because I can understand if he is distracted on another browser window or somewhere else. It's an unrated game anyways! But then, I think I should be able to abort after waiting for a reasonable period of time. I don't think anyone should need more than 2 minutes to make the opening move. After 2 minutes of wait, one should have the right to abort a game.

I wouldn't be too concerned about this. The warning is just an automated message that comes up on the abort. If it came to the point where the site was planning on actually banning you, you would have an airtight case to show them why this should not occur and you would either not get banned, or at worst have your account re-opened upon request.

Staff have the ability to override any auto rubbish remember.

I've gotten this warning, but never actually been assessed an aborted game in this situation. I think the warning is automated, but you're only ever assessed an aborted game if both sides have already made their first move.

In other words, while it's very mildly annoying, it's nothing to worry about.
