this is a chess site not a breast site
I log on to chess.com for the different skill levels, be it male or female apponent I love the compitiion win lose or draw. Before I posted a picture I couldn't get but a few words from my apponent. But now I posted a hot chic I cant get them to stop hitting on me. They don't even check the profile, but they get mad when they find out its not what they thought it was. Now i've seen profiles with pictures of animal, cartoon characters, and painting or pics of anything, but i dont assume i'm playing say a duck or a stone. Its cool to make conversation but make conversation with your apponent not the picture because you never no who or what your hitting on.
Its opponent.. not apponent. Next time you're complaining please at least spell right.

this is STILL funnier than funny!
Whats the point of having photo in your profile if the person on photo is not you? O.o Thats a bit odd... Pretending someone else on the net is quite common... some consider it to be creepy also.
I dont really care about it... just wanted to point out a bit different point of view.

skibaby I know we have played a few game and I hope i always treated you with the respect If I have some how offended you I truely do apologize.
By the way thats not me either.but at least it's a dude

this is good.

You can never be sure of who you are playing against. There may be some people on this site who are incarcerated. Ever think about that?
worse then that I think some of the players are in jail
Even worse then that, some of the players may be imprisoned.

I know what you feel like. Since I put my photo, owl females don't stop calling. Stop the harassment.

What I find ridiculous is that these guys are hitting on girls they will probably never meet, or talk too outside this website! That is just pathetic and sad,if these guys would bother to hit on girls face to face instead of on chess.com they might find better luck in nabbing a girlfriend. I guess it's easier on their ego if they get rejected online instead of up close and personal. C'mon guys... take a chance and put yourself out there in front of girls in your hometown, not here on chess.com! Besides it makes you look like a desperate loser when you hit on girls here, and most girls I know find desperate losers to be a major turn off. If your too shy to hit on women face to face, spare the rest of us who are here to play chess, and do it on a DATING WEBSITE.
As a desperate loser, I find this very judgmental and offensive. I can't help being a desperate loser. It's genetic.

Ah, the inevitable attempt at immasculation over the internet post. Yes, guys, get out there and hit on girls face to face so you can catch a harrassment charge instead of just get ignored on the internet. And with the level of hostility containted in the above post as your barometer, what could possibly go wrong if the girl decides she feels uncomfortable with your advances?
Here's a better idea, why don't you take this crock home and cook me some chili.
Why is it ok to look up chess people on a dating site but not ask if people are dating on a chess site? If you want to date a chess girl, GO WHERE THEY ARE! This includes chess sites. Duh! People get married off of MMOs and other on-line games, why not chess.com?
That doesn't excuse rudeness, but seriously, I've seen guys pull girls with catcalls. What one girl calls rude, another one calls bravado. Live and let live. And give the male ego pop-psychology "I watch the View" soapbox a rest.

Yeah, and some might have even been arrested!

Good point. The freedom of motion your fist enjoys stops at my face. Your right not to be abused does not entitle you to abuse me. I was playing a game of dots on Face Book as I often do, and this one opponent in particular was a young girl whom I did not know (like here, there is something similar to open seeks, and I accepted hers). I went as far as saying "Hi" -- this is an exact quote, verbatim, not paraphrased. I said "Hi", nothing more. In her effort to ensure that I was not some rapist or something, her reply was "Are you one of those creeps here to hit on a girl too young for you? Because if it gets weird, then I will take action". The ultimate irony. Her attempt to make sure that it does not get weird actually made it weird. I have had similar experienecs on this site.
