This Is Wrong Chess.com

Clearly, chess.com mods have not bothered to read the blog before proceeding. Seems like a rash decision to me. #JusticeforHornet

Yeah, displaying a picture of Adolf Hitler on chess.com would almost be as bad as letting members see the Russian flag on a user's profile.

I hope chess.com doesn't become political like other websites/companies. It's a chess site and so chess is shown, which is true in hornet's blog. The fact that a Jewish tb wished hornet good luck shows that chess.com is way too sensitive, hornet just put that person on the thumbnail and showed a chess game. This is so wrong.

A bit late for that. They proved that during the whole Karjakin bs

this is worse than the Karjakin stuff. There was pressure from some groups to do what they did, but in Hornet's situation, nobody requested it.

Fair but either way they are proving that they cant keep chess and politics separate.

It does change things if he said he warned you three times that it would be best to avoid this topic. Even though I didn’t have a problem with the blog itself, if he told you that, then posting it really wasn’t a good idea.

He said it wasn't breaking any rules tho, which should imply that moderators shouldn't interfere

the warning part still changes it to some degree but it would still be unfair to revoke tb. Even removing the blog post would be unfair imo.

I think he was just implying it was a hot button topic, and to post with caution

In other words, don't worry about the mods, worry about how the community would take this in. The community took it fine, and funny enough, the mods ended up being the problem

Lazy is wise beyond his years

as a 2 year old can confirm

It wasn't wrong. A Staff member warned you it wasn't a good idea to post it, but you went and posted it anyway. And then Lazydog said...."the mods ended up being the problem".....lol

JkCheeseChess

This isn't just about blogs, chess, politics.. I think Hornet's case has pointed out a very sad irony: Chess.com is making their site worse for users by attempting to improve it

JkCheeseChess

What they need to focus on is genuinely taking the time to carefully analyze each matter of significance, looking at if something actually needs to be deleted or updated

And also getting more public opinion AND LISTENING to it

Staff member said that it wouldn't be against the rules.

Knowing this, Hornet posted blog wary of the potential backlash and made it so the only thing referencing Hitler was the thumbnail and they still took away TB

Despite his warnings, he said himself that it wasn't against the rules. If it's not against the rules, then why should the mods get involved?

Yeah lol so ridiculous. I used to play 4pc and stream 4pc all the time until they killed server

KeSetoKaiba

I'm guessing it was an auto-feature which is responsible. Mistakes happen. I'll bring this up with chess.com mods/staff and see if they can correct it.

JkCheeseChess

so did Radon but after the merge he stopped playing rated, made a league, but the league lost all popularity too, so he stopped streaming as well

i saw his face for the first time in a year few days ago for w4pcc finals
