Well, I did no thing such as claiming victory when my opponent lost on time.
I guess you just have to wait.

I guess you just have to wait.
In one of my correspondance games my opponent has run out of time. I assume this means he looses the game, but so far the game is still sitting there, set on his move, with no time remaining for him. Do I need to do something to "claim" the win, or am I just waiting for a server to update somewhere?
Thanks in advance for the help.
For some odd reason even if your opponent does run out or time the server will call it a win for you maybe 10 minutes or 15 minutes later. I think this is simply a precaution, but it happens every time: even if your opponets time is gone it says 0 min left but it will wait about 15 more mins to call it.
Thanks for the feedback. Another question: Is your rating affected by a timed out game? The game has now disapeared from my list of current games, but it is not in my completed games, and my rating has not changed. In this particular case the game never really got started, so I supposed a rating boost from it would not really be sporting, but I was just wondering how it worked.
