Weird billing price
The price shown on the yearly subscription is the price, less any applicable tax. The discount is the difference from the monthly subscription option where you would pay the higher amount each month.

If that were the case then the yearly subscription would be 143.88 the discount has to apply for it to be reasonable and in either scenario its not the same as the advertised price, maybe im just confused sorry.
For my US pricing, if billed yearly, it's $120 (so $10 a month in advance). Monthly it would be $16.99 or $203.88 if I kept it for 12 months. So I would save $83.88 over the year by paying in advance. It actually shows the discount on the order page is equal to $83.89 over the monthly option.
I can't see what your monthly pricing is to see if the math may look wrong or not on your end.
The resources on chess.com are pretty good, but with all the free options out there such ass millions of pgns covering every game of every opening variation that's ever been played, platforms like YouTube that feature countless tutorials, game reviews and courses, why would anyone pay almost $20 a month?
