What do "pinned" mean?

friedmelon

I don't know what does "pinned" mean.

A piece or a pawn is pinned when it is being attacked and cannot be moved either because the King would be in check or because it will uncover a higher value piece which you would lose on the exchange.

Pinned is a position in which if player "A" move a particular piece or pawn, then a piece behind it of greater value will get captured. Player "B" thereby wins material.
