what happened to the score?

why was the score evaluation of matches drastically reduced? why did not anybody of the staff let me know it in advance?
this is rather upsetting, since I recently lost 200 points in a couple of days, and now it will take me a century to get them back! if I knew it before, I would have been careful with my score!
