What to do with users who ARE rude.

Ok I started a thread a while ago where they tell me I can't name users that are rude. Note I don't "consider" them to be rude. They ARE rude. 

So howcome naming Rude users are against this sites policy but being Rude isn't? I think this site really has a poor way of handling abuse and your rules only tell people that it's ok to throw any kind of foul language on someone and you won't do anything about it. The offenders can keep behaving the same way against hundreds of users and the victims are the one who has to block them. That sucks, now please go ahead and punish me or delete my comment if you want to, but I'm not alone. Instead of saying "i'm sorry you have had this experience" you tell me that I can't tell anyone about it. Way to go. Wonderful.

I haven't found it here. But usually in sites you remove people that spread hatred and abuse, you don't tell victims to shut up. Why should I have to "hide" by blocking these people. THEY are the ones that should be thrown out.

People like that only provoke you to respond in the same way. 

I mean how hard is it to create an engine that detects foul language and and removes the bad apples, automatically shut down their abbility to post things. This site has it all backwards.

Your example doesn't really work. If this sites rules would apply in the real world, then trying to kill someone would be totally ok, but using self defence to protect yourself or report it would be against the law.

Does having a less-than-optimal experience in a game exempt you from following the forum rules? 

I find that as irrational as I find your provocative avatar both rude and offensive.  But I won't make a thread about your avatar.

If you really can't see the difference by an avatar and throwing insults at someone then I feel sorry for you. Your logic is ridicolous.

     Just don't bite, then they wont have anything to feed off. Appealing to their better nature may also work but failing this you could block them or perhaps, if necessary, report their anti social conduct to support staff !

America_de_Cali, I just looked up your avatar and I see it's a logo for some sports team and not, in fact the insult it seems to be on the surface.  So, I owe you an apology for jumping at that implication.  I do find the sports logo suspect however.   But at the same time, it's completely reasonable not to think that what happens in a private exchange should be aired in the public forums.

First of all it's the logo of a soccer team. It has nothing to do with America which incidently is a continent and not a country or nation. But that's another debate.

Apology accepted batgirl and I Apologize myself. But I do have a point if there only was an engine or someone that detected foul language the arguments wouldn't escalate and the right people would suffer from it, not the good guys.
