it is just some thing chess.com came out with to make people want to play more chess basically top ten at the end of the week move to the next league you get points depending on how long the games are
you grind to look cool

There's enough new members all the time, members leaving, and getting closed, that I image that won't actually happen. The Legend league will take a long time to get a significant number of members.
