When did Chess.com start recommending friends?

I just got a message from someone who said Chess.com recommended that I be that

person"s friend. I do not like that Chess.com has started doing this. How can I prevent

Chess.com from attempting to choose my friends? That is terrible.

Very angry at this invasion, and it's not very nice for the other person, to put them in that position.

well they never do such things

when i opened a account in August 2020 ,i i did not get such recommedation

I opened my account in 2009 and this has never happened before.

Just go to settings ,you may get it there or You better contact a Chess.com staff

Does not sound like something chess.com does.  You can consider blocking the person that sent you the message.

This just happened to me recently. I am playing someone on Chess.com, and Chess.com suggested that I add them as a friend. I am now trying to figure out how to prevent Chess.com from suggesting this in the future.
