I asked just in a provocative way.
Because apparently a normal report just gets ignored...
- I once have insulted my opponent and I got muted some days for that - fair enough. I am ok with that)
In a recent game I did a blunder and therefor lost the game. (Yep... happens quite a lot)
After that blunder I got heavily insulted, for what a stupid idiot I am. (Also apparently my mother is also an idiot for my blunder?)
Anyways I reported the guy and... nothing happened?!
So I wanted to ask you, where is the trick to insult people on chess.c*m? Do I need to create a payed account to be able to troll others without being punished?
Reports can take some time to be seen and even after seen and actioned, you're unlikely to see any result of that, unless the abuse was extremely bad and the account is closed.
The site normally starts with warnings, then short mutes, followed by longer mutes. If poor behavior continues an account may get permanently muted. A closure is for the more extreme cases.
This happened with one of the games I played as well. A guy from Indonesia also. Hmmm. Thankfully I had the pleasure of absolutely destroying him. Really all you can do is report them and go on with your life. Block them if you need to. Disable chat. Just not worth your energy. Take the L, learn from it, and play on.
Good luck. 👍🤜🤛
