Your decision about which console to buy should be based solely on how much fun you had when you tried them. (I'm sure you tried them all right?)

If not, try to get some hands-on time and try to be as objective as possible when making your decision, think about what you (and family/friends) want to get out of the console. Are you after high-def? Free online gaming? Easy and accesible fun?

Just try not to become another victim to the hyper-hype train ;)

360 for various reasons

LUCYM0N0

Reasons why 360 is better:

- 360 has the most robust online service of the three consoles.  Even though a Gold membership costs money, XBL is able to get a higher number of arcade titles from independent publishers that can't afford to host their own servers.  Plus, the ability to watch movies through Netflix and the ease of setting up voice chat channels with your friends gives it an edge.

- 360 has more game titles and more variety in game titles than the PS3 or Wii because it's been available for a longer period of time.  Additionally, the 360 is an easier platform to develop games for, resulting in a greater amount of developer support.

- 360 is the cheapest of the three consoles.  You can get an Xbox 360 arcade for merely $200.  Despite it being $200 cheaper than a PS3, when comparing multiplatform titles on both consoles, the 360 and PS3 versions show very few differences.  So basically, for $200 less, you can play almost all of the same games you could play on the PS3, as well as a number of 360 exclusives.

Really, the only reason I'd recommend getting a PS3 is if you want to watch Blu-ray movies.  As for the Wii... Get one if you have children or a girlfriend/wife that's interested in owning one.  Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy are all great games, but besides first party titles (and party games), you're not going to getting much else.
